Recently Samsung announced its Exynos 1080 5G SoC as the successor of the Chipset. This chipset will power the devices of 2021. First of all, the Vivo X60 series is going to adopt this chipset which will be launched on December 29th. This chipset uses the Cortex-X1 super core of ARM.
On the other side, the Samsung Exynos 2100 is also going to make its entry into the chipset market. This will also a flagship chipset of Samsung to power its flagship devices. The Samsung Galaxy S21 series will be the first to adopt this chipset which will be launched in January 2021. This SoC will also adopt the Cotex-X1 super core.

This CPU integrates 1 ARM Cortex-X1 Super Core operating at up to 2.91GHz clock speed, 3 Cortex-A78 Middle Cores at 2.81GHz, and 4 Cortex-A55 Small Cores at 2.21GHz clock speed while on the other side, the Exynos 1080 is also a 5nm chipset that features a tri-cluster 64-bit 8-core CPU and this CPU includes 1 ARM Cortex-A78 Big Core running with a maximum clock speed of 2.80GHz, 3 Cortex-A78 Middle Cores at 2.60GHz and 4 Cortex-A55 Tiny Cores at 2.00GHz clock speed.
Here the Exynos 2100 has Cortex-X1 Core clocked at up to 2.91GHz which puts it ahead of the Exynos 1080. In the case of display, the Exynos 1080 has support for WQHD+ displays at 90Hz and FHD+ displays at 144Hz while the Exynos 2100 can handle up to 4K UHD Displays at 60Hz.

For handling AI tasks, the Exynos 1080 uses a powerful neural processing unit (NPU) and digital signal processor (DSP) that make the Exynos 1080 capable of running up to 5.7 trillion operations per second. This is more than enough power to support a wide range of AI applications. On the other side, enough details of the Exynos 2100 regarding this, are unknown but it will also use an NPU and a DSP.

In a single-core test, the Exynos 2100 bagged 1323 points while the Exynos 1080 scored 814 points. While in the multi-core test, the Exynos 2100 got a score of 4215 points while the Exynos 1080 got 2816 points. So on the Geekbench, the Exynos 2100 is ahead of the Exynos 1080.
Samsung Exynos 2100 vs 1080: Connectivity Features
Connectivity-wise. the Exynos 1080 and the Exynos 2100, both are 5G ready chipsets where the Exynos 1080 uses an Integrated 5G Modem that can provide a maximum downloading speed of 5.1Gbps using a 5G network and a maximum downloading speed of 3.67Gbps on the 5G network. On the other side, the Exynos 2100 will also have a built-in 5G modem which details are unknown yet.
Other features like Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, FM Radio, etc, are the same in both chipsets.
