Helio G85 vs Snapdragon 730G:
Given that currently, the information about Helio G85 is really scarce, it is pretty hard to comment, so all that I can do is the guesswork.
We know that G85 is going to be somewhere between Helio G80 present in Realme 6i and Helio G90T present in Realme 6 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Also, it is well known that Helio G90T is almost at par with Snapdragon 730G. The Helio G90T outputs a marginally better performance but at the expense of battery life and heating issues.
My gut feeling says that this processor will just be an overclocked version of Helio G80. Therefore, it’s performance will be more close to Helio G85 than Helio G90T. Which makes Helio G85 no match for Snapdragon 730G.
But in day to day life situations such as opening mail, or browsing through the internet or Google feed the experience will mostly be the same with marginally more hiccups for Mediatek processor.
But at the same time, this processor will be no slouch. You will be able to run games on High settings on this chip given that Helio G80 also supports that, and mostly performs flawlessly.
