The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 has a 64-Bit Kryo 460 octa-core CPU that integrates 2 ARM Cortex-A76 Gold cores for performance clocked at up to 2.00GHz and other 6 Cortex-A55 Silver cores for efficiency at 1.80GHz clock speed while on the other hand, the MediaTek Helio G80 features 2 ARM Cortex A75 Big cores operating at up to 2.00GHz clock speed and other 6 Cortex A55 Small cores at 1.8GHz clock speed.

Here both chipsets have the same clock speed but the Snapdragon 480 has a better CPU architecture that makes it a better chipset than the Helio G80.

So in terms of CPU processing, the Snapdragon 480 is a better chipset in comparison to the Helio G80.

GPU:

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 features an Adreno 619 GPU where the Helio G80 has an ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.

Here also the Snapdragon 480 has a better GPU in comparison to the Helio G80.

So in the case of gaming, also the Snapdragon 480 is better than the Helio G80.

The Helio G80 is fabricated on the 12nm Process technology while the Snapdragon 480 uses 8nm LPP Process technology.
